Truth Translator Sound Sessions are curated listening experiences hosted by Amanda Seales. Audiences will get the unique opportunity to hear new album, Truth Translator in community, while Ms. Seales shares exclusive insight on her production process, delves into the lyrics, expounds on topics and themes the album speaks to, and engages in a Q&A about all the above! A signing will take place after the show.

After a 15-year hiatus, Amanda Seales has returned to her musical roots. Updating her former moniker, Amanda Diva with 2.0, she has also updated her skillset adding production to her trademark jazzy vocals, and insightful lyricism. Sonically this project is as much a call to arms as a balm to the nervous system, blending up tempo rhythms alongside melodic vibes. Spanning the musical spectrum, it defies genre, invoking 90s hip hop, deep house, roots reggae, and more; a bountiful garden of bass heavy beats steeped in boom bap biodiversity. Lyrically, the artistic intellectual does what the title proclaims; deftly deconstructing complex political ideologies, educating through an expanded and deepened historical geo-political lens, and espousing unwavering love for her Blackness, her womanhood, and her Black womanhood. These are not just records to jam to, they are tracks that seek to inspire, inform, and empower all who listen to commit to projecting and protecting truth as the way to collective liberation.
